At A. Marie Consultants, we believe artificial intelligence should strengthen mission driven work, never compromise it. We use AI to help nonprofits, government agencies, and educational institutions work smarter, find funding faster, and tell their stories with greater clarity. Every AI assisted deliverable is guided, reviewed, and approved by experienced human professionals.

This policy explains how we use AI, how we protect your information, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

How We Use AI

We use AI tools to support, not replace, our expertise. This may include:

• Organizing information and drafting initial outlines
• Summarizing funder guidelines and requirements
• Improving clarity, consistency, and readability of written materials
• Supporting project planning and grants management workflows

Human Expertise Comes First

AI does not make decisions for our clients. Our consultants review, verify, and refine all AI assisted work before it reaches you or a funder. Strategy, relationships, judgment, and final approval always remain in human hands.

Accuracy and Integrity

Funders trust what they read in a proposal, and so should you. We never use AI to fabricate data, outcomes, credentials, testimonials, or references. Every fact, figure, and claim in our work is verified against source materials provided by our clients or credible public sources.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Your organization's information is treated with care. We do not enter confidential, personally identifiable, or sensitive client information into AI tools without appropriate safeguards and client awareness. We share only what is necessary to complete the work.

Equity and Fairness

AI systems can reflect bias present in the data they learn from. Grounded in a commitment to social justice, we actively review AI assisted content for biased, stereotyping, or exclusionary language, ensuring the communities our clients serve are represented with dignity and accuracy.

Transparency

We are open with clients about when and how AI supports our work. We also respect funder policies on AI use and help clients understand and comply with any disclosure requirements in their applications.

Teaching Responsible AI

Through our AI Grants Training, we equip organizations to use AI ethically and effectively in grant prospecting, grant writing, grants management, and project management. We teach the same standards we practice.

Ongoing Review

AI is evolving quickly, and so is this policy. We review our practices regularly to reflect new tools, emerging best practices, and changing funder expectations.
