Key Initiatives
- Responsible for securing over $75,000,000 in grants and corporate funding from funders including The Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundations, United States Department of Justice, SAMHSA, Horizon, Prudential, Johnson & Johnson, Macy’s, Novartis, Verizon, Bank of America, and PNC Wealth Management.
- Provided project management and implementation of the Washington, DC Crime Abatement Initiative in response to the crime emergency for Second Genesis. This initiative generated $500,000 in revenue.
- Secured federal grants in excess of $750,000 for HMI: NJ to provide mental-health service to at-risk, inner-city youth in conjunction with then Mayor of Newark, Cory Booker.
- Provided Direct Assessment Services through the Maryland State Judiciary Guardianship Monitoring project.
- Secured more than $250,000 in corporate and individual donations for the American Psychological Foundation Annual Gala.
- Provided Training & Technical Assistance to the State of Maryland Department of Health Prevention & Health Promotion Team statewide.
- Handled all aspects of event management and planning for the International SIDS/Stillbirth Conference with more than 3,000 attendees, including venue selection, securing keynote speakers, coordinating plenary, closing and breakout sessions, arranging formal dinner, and overseeing vendor selection & management.
- Generated more than $1,500,000 in revenue through workplace-giving campaigns as a member of Community Health Charities.
- Wrote the winning proposal for a contract with the state of Maryland’s Department of Corrections Inmate Assessment Substance Abuse Screening Program, resulting in a revenue increase of $600,000 annually.
- Provided project management and implementation of Mayor Anthony Williams’ Crime Abatement Initiative in response to the crime emergency in Washington, D.C. This initiative generated $500,000 in revenue.
